Greg ~ Pearl Harbor Project

Eleven year-old Greg attends Fairplains Elemntary School in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He took home a First Place trophy for his Pearl Harbor Project in the Social Studies Fair. Congratulations Greg!


OFFICIAL ABSTRACT
Project Title: Pearl Harbor
Category: World History (Individual)
Division: Division II (6-8)

1. What is the purpose of your project?
To find out why the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and both views of the bombing.

2. What did you do to collect information about your topic?
Visited Pearl Harbor, read books, watch DVD's, internet, email from a friend in Japan, talked to a veteran at Pearl Harbor.

3. What were the results/conclusions of your research?
Japan felt that if they would win at Pearl Harbor they would be able to control the Far East.

U.S. felt that Pearl Harbor was surprise not knowing about all the information that the government had received.
